Dawn is a founding member of the East Valley Animal Clinic staff. She started working at EVAC while she was still a student at the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1990. She did her internship here and accepted a position as a Certified Veterinary Technician after graduation. Dawn also has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. She shares her condo with her cat Cash. Dawn grew up in LaCrosse, Wisconsin with a variety of animals such as rabbits, horses, cats, and dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, reading, watching Nascar racing, and football (Dawn is a Packer Fan!).
“I like the family atmosphere of the clinic and seeing clients and their pets throughout all stages of their life,” comments Dawn.
Dawn is amazing in that she remembers so much about our clients and their pets.
This talent makes her a resource for the rest of the staff when our memories fail us! She is a talented technician whose experience benefits our practice, clients and their pets every day.
Erica is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been at East Valley Animal Clinic since 2002. She was a student intern from the Medical Institute of Minnesota, which is now Argosy University and was hired on when she graduated.
Erica has a love for all animals. She has a parrot named Homer, and two dogs named Toby and Scout.
When Erica is not taking care of her two boys and pets, she enjoys gardening, kayaking, camping, and hiking.
Rebecca came to East Valley Animal Clinic to complete her clinical internship from Argosy University. She was so impressive that she was hired at the end of her internship. Rebecca has been with us since January 2008. Prior to her education for veterinary technology, Rebecca studied at Augsburg and the University of Minnesota for vocal performance.
In her spare time, Rebecca and her husband are busy with their 2 children, and their dog, Horatio. Rebecca enjoys both the Minnesota Orchestra and the St Paul Chamber Orchestra and attends concerts whenever she can. She enjoys hiking on the North Shore, reading and singing.
Rebecca loves her job and it shows in the way she cares for her patients. She has a wonderful way with her patients and has excellent technical skills.
Melissa joined the staff at East Valley Animal Clinic in March of 2010 after completing her internship here. She is a certified veterinary technician and graduate of Argosy University. Melissa has a love for surgery and anesthesia, dentistry, and a soft spot for all bulldogs. She currently resides in Farmington with her husband, Brent, their sons, Noah and Jackson, their cat, Dexter, and their golden retriever, Zelda. When she isn’t caring for animals at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and being the best baseball mom that she can be!
Ashlie is a certified technician that joined the staff after completing her internship with us in November of 2012. She graduated from Argosy in February of 2013. Ashlie is an Apple Valley native who currently lives in Lakeville. She has quite the busy household! She shares her life with her husband, Mark, her four boys, Nixon, Mikko, Crew, and Koa, her dog, Ollie, and her cats, Simba and Miso. In her (rare) spare time, Ashlie enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Erika joined East Valley Animal Clinic in 2016, after moving here from Arizona. She spent the first 10 years of her career working at emergency & specialty clinics, but has found that her switch to general practice has made her a well-rounded technician. Because of her previous experience, Erika loves surgery – especially challenging anesthetic cases.
Erika shares her home with her human husband, and her hound dog, Hogan. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the park & hiking with her dog, painting, reading, kayaking, and checking off her travel bucket list.
Hannah came to East Valley to complete her internship from Argosy University in 2016. She previously worked as a kennel assistant at another clinic. She loved East Valley and how much they treated each other like family, she never wanted to leave.
Hannah currently lives in Rosemount with her husband, Will, and their cats, Madison and Bandi. When she isn’t working or pet sitting, she likes to travel to new places, shop, go to sporting events, and spend time with friends. Hannah’s family has had many German shepherds so she will always have a soft spot for them!
Izzy joined East Valley Animal Clinic in 2018 after completing her internship with us. She is a graduate of Argosy University and a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Her biggest interests in the field are anesthesia and dentistry. Being able to assist in dental cleanings, and new puppy/kitten appointments, is her favorite part of the day!

She has 2 cats, Bella & Mowgli, 2 sugar gliders, Flack & Stewie, & 1 leopard gecko, Henry Ford.
